Home Day 6 turned out to be a FULL DAY IN HOSPITAL, with a very delayed Hickman Line insertion ( not pleasant second time around when you know exactly what the surgeon is doing), a meeting with the Specialists to describe my FULL TREATMENT PROGRAMME (see Treatment Schedule in Menu) and arrangements for district nurse to visit for first treatment injection on Sunday.
GOT TO MAKE THE MOST OF THE NEXT 4 DAYS AT HOME !
Possible repurcussions of transplant:
ReplyDeleteGerman donor = penchant for wearing leder hosen and eating sauerkraut with braatwurst and yodelling with Breckie.
American donor = love of large check trousers, burgers (supersized)and very booming voice expressing opinion on anything and everything.
Shall we hold out hope for an Ozzie?
Love you - fancy having one of your HOME days taken up by hospital. Bet you're feeling a bit ripped off? Don't waste the rest of your "home days" thinking about going back to the boot camp. Just ENJOY!. We've (the boys and I) had a lovely day at Coed Hills trekking through the woods. Home for tea then, off on a Spooky walk with the sisters, various children and Dunc. Nearly had to change my underwear! JUST sat down for the first time today other than driving... Lost the use of my limbs now. Although I'm sure i'll find the energy to lift a glass of wine. Here's to you buddy! Cheers! x Masses of luv x
