Blood sample, saline drip, IV antibiotics followed by meeting with Haematology Team at 16:00hrs and excruciatingly painful bone marrow sampling (rather like drawing a sample from a fine cheese!). Thank god Dai with me so I could transfer the pain to his hand !
Eight o'clock transfer to side room 6, Derwent Ward, must be about 6th floor, a self contained, north-facing room with sink, toilet, refrigerator, storage unit, and all the hospital gibbons you'd expect.
